Maison Close Lingerie Popping Up Everywhere

MARSEILLE, France—Lovely Planet’s Maison Close lingerie line has been garnering attention for some time now, but things have really taken off for the brand of late.

Several high-profile magazine features in Maxim and Inked have brought the brand to the forefront, as has a clip from the popular CBS show How I Met Your Mother where a new character sports some of the fashions.

Maison Close was heavily featured in the Maxim lingerie supplement, including landing the cover spot. In Inked, a several-page feature on Seventy Arniotis, a hairstylist/model fromWilliamsburg,Va., features her in several photographs sporting many Maison Close pieces.

And in “The Drunk Train” episode of How I Met Your Mother that aired Monday, Feb. 13, Barney’s crush Quinn (played by guest star Becki Newton) wears a corset from Maison Close in the final scene of the show.

From its beginnings in 2003, Lovely Planet worked with designer Marine Peyre to design the first sex toy raised to the status of a designer object. It was sold at theMuseumofModern ArtinNew Yorkand exhibited at ART BASEL in Maimi. Called Enjoy!, it is still quoted as a reference in the world of design.

Lovely Planet designs, develops, manufactures and sells three brands: Maison Close, fine and saucy lingerie; Mixgliss, intimate lubricants; and Love to Love, which revisits designer classics and cultural icons.
