MAYER, Ariz.—Justin Sayne Leather has hired Michael Hart and Jantzen Whitson.
Hart, a business management professional, comes to JSL with a wealth of experience in manufacturing. As a lean manufacturing expert, Hart specializes in streamlining business, including avoiding all wastes within a business process while driving out costs that are associated—without allowing it to affect customers or the quality of products.
In his new role as project manager, Hart’s responsibilities include industry shows, diversified market expansion, sponsorship acquisitions along with logistics and bookkeeping.
Hart has a bachelor's of science in business management, along with many years in management within the manufacturing industry, working alongside corporate leaders.
“My hope in what I can bring to the JSL team is leadership and results,” Hart said. “Communication and structure is key in executing plans with desired results. With knowing Justin for quite a few years, I feel we will work really well in accomplishing his vision and goals for the company.”
Hart says he aims to strengthen the communication between JSL and its customers in order to incorporate their feedback into future designs.
“I think the JSL brand is very unique and well respected within the industry,” Hart said. “Justin has done a wonderful job in keeping the brand reputable and edgy. Justin has created products and quality never seen before. All of this will only continue as the company grows.”
Whitson joins his father’s company as an apprentice who is already designing new items with Sayne’s guidance.
“Jantzen is only 18 years old but he’s already showing a lot of promise as a product designer,” Sayne said. “I’m really impressed by his passion and I’m excited for his future with the company.
“We are also very fortunate to have Michael on board,” Sayne added. “He has a rich professional background and possesses all the skills we need to take JSL to the next level.”
Regarding his new role with JSL, Whitson said, “I see JSL as a brand as something out of the mind of a genius—and it really is! Honestly I see the company moving across the fashion industry, music industry, and many others.”
JSL has already begun expanding into other industries, including the music industry with its new stage gear that was recently unleashed at the Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, Tenn.
“Justin does a really good job of keeping his followers informed of what products he has and where he will be appearing,” Hart said. “I would suggest people go to the Justin Sayne Leather Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and the website: JustinSayneLeather.com to keep up with the latest and greatest from JSL. Justin Sayne Leather has some exciting stuff in store!”
