LAS VEGAS—The International Lingerie Show returned to the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino for the Fall 2019 show, which runs today through Wednesday.
Moving this time to the Pavilion area of the hotel instead of the ballrooms, exhibitors set up shop to showcase the latest trends in lingerie and accessories.
Among the hot items this year are “wet look” pieces, particularly in separates.
“We have a wet look line, and a patent leather line that are really on trend this season,” said Jennifer, a rep for Daily Corsets. “We have a metallic collection that is really popular, too. The more fetishy look is really in right now.”
The company also recently introduced a harness line, which can create unique outfits and make for a different type of accessory, Jennifer said. Buyers were interested in the various skirts Daisy Corsets sells, including high-lows in a variety of colors and styles and mini skirts in lush velvet and jewel tones.
Also big this year are separates, Jennifer said. Accessories help to complete looks for in the bedroom, on the dance floor, at a festival or anywhere.
Alesia, a rep in the Forplay booth, echoed that sentiment, noting customers are looking more and more to create their own looks, especially at Halloween.
“Building your own costumes is very trendy right now,” Alesia said. “And the wet looks is very popular because it gives everything an edgier look. A lot of my gothic and fetish stores are doing well with the wet look vinyl collection.”
Forplay offers many vinyl pieces in classic red and black for maximum effect.
Other exhibitors offered “shiny” clothes of their one, including Sugarpuss, which which showcased glittery panties and dance wear pieces, as well as cosplay-inspired outfits inspired by the likes of Velma and Daphne from Scooby-Doo fame, Wonder Woman and more.
In the Hot Girl booth, reps met with buyers interested in their dance wear pieces adorned with sequins or made in neon colors, while the Sex Symbol booth displayed their unique items, including cage outfits, dance wear decorated with rhinestones and faux jewels and gowns.
Je T’aime’s booth drew attention thanks to neon-fabric lingerie pieces and fur coats. Christmas-themed items—including a red babydoll trimmed with white fur and a hooded robe, also trimmed in white fur—were popular in the Delicate Illusions booth.
The Wells Apparel reps were in their booth greeting customers with their new scrappy bra-and-panty sets and babydoll, while Popsi Lingerie’s booth showcased bra-and-panty sets, bodysuits and other classic lingerie pieces in traditional nudes and pastel colors.
And in the Dynashape Intima/Honey B booth, bras and bralettes in a variety of colors and sizes—from B cup to H cup—and panties in sizes Small to 4X were popular with buyers.
