BEND, Ore.—Lora DiCarlo announced the hiring of Ian Kulp as the premium sex tech brand’s senior retail marketing manager.
“We are so proud to have Ian join the Lora DiCarlo team,” said Lora Haddock, founder and CEO of Lora DiCarlo. “His passion for destigmatization of sex and pleasure in any form, body acceptance and gender equity makes him a perfect cultural fit with the Lora DiCarlo team and mission. His proven knowledge and experience will help us to ensure that we’re truly meeting the needs of all of our B2B partners and driving our mission forward.”
Formerly responsible for merchandising and retail strategy at the Museum of Sex in New York, Kulp has 20 years of experience in business development, merchandising, front of house marketing, media, point of sale, and education and training. He will work closely with Lora DiCarlo’s global B2B accounts to optimize and grow all retail and distribution channels, and to increase brand awareness and customer engagement in preparation for the fall launch of Osé, a massager using micro-robotics to acheive blended orgasms. He will also drive all retail marketing strategy and new client on-boarding initiatives internationally, as well as attend trade shows globally.
“Words cannot express my excitement about joining Lora DiCarlo”, says Kulp “Lora’s alignment, brand positioning and mission is exactly what the industry needs now. I want to always empower others, educate others, and create inclusive, positive and safe spaces for doing so. I am looking forward to being part of the change in the industry and mainstream culture, a change that represents not only sexual freedom, health and wellness but inclusion across all boundaries and borders.”
Thanks to an unending passion and commitment to sex positivity, Ian joined the Museum of Sex with the mission of elevating the customer experience allowing everyone to explore and enhance their own sexual journey in a safe and healthy environment. He carried that passion into the merchandising plan, elevating product assortment, value and education on the floor. With a background in luxury, fashion, and mainstream products Ian has extensive experience with merchandising, product development and technical design, working with brands such as Calvin Klein, Supreme, Paul Mitchell and MAC cosmetics, to launch lines and brands globally.
Ian and the rest of the Lora DiCarlo team will be at the July ANME Show in booth 111 in the Exhibitors Tent. He will be based on the East Coast with time split between New York and visits to accounts and trade shows nationally and internationally.
