Hot Octopuss Hosts 'Orgasm Pop Up' to Introduce Queen Bee

LONDON/NEW YORK—Among the many products that pleasure product professionals got a look at last month at the ANME Founders Show was the Queen Bee, a new toy for women from Hot Octopuss, the self-proclaimed creator of the “guybrator.”

The manufacturer, based in the U.K., also has built a rep for itself as a savvy promoter—and it’s staying true to form with a splashy launch for the Queen Bee. The Queen Bee is a wand that has an oval-shaped head powered by the same Pulse Plate technology that Hot Octopuss uses in the various models of its Pulse “guybrators.” All of the vibration is focused in the handle, and each side of the head offers different sensations—including one that uses what Hot Octopuss describes as “a piston-type mechanism in order to generate extremely deep and rumbly oscillations. These high-amplitude oscillations are significantly more powerful and intense than standard vibrations and often lead to a unique and very powerful orgasm.”

Hot Octopuss is trumpeting the arrival of the Queen Bee at a event taking place in New York City on Aug. 10-11 at the Changing Room, located at 160 Orchard St. in the Lower East Side. The event is billed as “the world’s first orgasm pop up shop,” and participants will receive a “free orgasm consultation with sex therapist Dana Barone followed by a personal, private trial” of the Queen Bee.

Is the media interested? You bet! So far, the New York Post's Page Six, Time Out New York and DoNYC.com are among the outlets that have posted the news. And we’re sure there will be more press to follow.

Now, all Hot Octopuss has to do is get one of these playthings into the hands of the real Queen B. Note to PR team: Try delivering to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s palatial rental on the Malibu coast.
