LONDON—The U.K.version of Good Housekeeping magazine has tackled the subject of vibrators once again, releasing the results of the third annual Good Housekeeping Vibrator Test.
“Whether you’re a newbie lost in a world of manically vibrating bullets and novelty gifts at hen ‘dos, or a clitoral expert unwilling to waste money on a toy that doesn’t live up to your standards, we know it’s worth knowing which vibrators actually work, orgasm-wise,” the post reads. “So we surveyed 270 women aged from 31 to 76, granting each of them the pleasure of testing out one of 27 of the most popular vibrators on the block for two whole weeks—all with the aim of finding out which ones are a guaranteed good time, and which don’t quite live up expectations.”
This year’s big winner is the Lovehoney Desire Clitoral Vibrator, which scored 74 out of a possible 100 points.
“It is amazing to come top of Good Housekeeping’s survey,” Lovehoney co-owner Neal Slateford said. “No one tests products like Good Housekeeping women—you know if their readers like a product, it really works.
“Their fantastic Tried and Tested vibrator survey, now in its third year, sends out a great message to society as a whole that sex toys are great way of achieving sexual happiness,” he added.
Close behind were the Ruby Glow and the RO-Duet from Rocks-Off Ltd.
“We were delighted when the Colour Me Orgasmic RO-80mm bullet vibrator was featured in Good Housekeeping in 2014, but this is a terrific honor,” said Andrea Duffy, international sales manager at Rocks-Off. “The exposure is another example of changing social attitudes towards vibrators and adult pleasure products.”
Tabitha Rayne, inventor of the Ruby Glow, said: “It's amazing to think that this time two years ago, the Ruby Glow was just a lump of clay and plaster in my writing shed. It just shows how one idea can blossom with the encouragement and support of the right people.”
