Fine Art Photo Bondage Volume LIGHT/SHADOW/COLOR Released

New on store bookshelves and e-tail sites is LIGHT/SHADOW/COLOR, a 300-page hardcover coffee table book featuring a wide spectrum of work shot by Washington State rigger and photographer “The Dark Arts.” Models of all sizes, shapes and genders from all over the world grace the pages of this deluxe first edition 9" x 12" collection. Up until now, these photos have only been available uncensored on Patreon.

The book features over 100 models tied in shibari bondage and includes adult film stars like Joanna Angel, Jiz Lee, Kimberly Kane, Daisy Ducati, Nenetl Avril and Yhivi. It also features notable alt-models like Malice McMunn, Jessa Jordan, Pure Rebel and many other performers, cam models, kink personalities and complete amateurs who have never modeled before.

The vast majority of bondage photography is dark, usually on black or grey backgrounds, and very serious. When The Dark Arts started evolving their photographic aesthetic, they made a deliberate decision to incorporate all the colors of the rainbow and to try their best to represent all kinds of people. While the majority of models who approach The Dark Arts are cis women, they have always been on the lookout for men, trans and genderfluid people of all racial backgrounds and shapes who want to shoot. They also love using bright colored backdrops and lighting to create images that nobody has seen before in bondage work. One would be hard-pressed to find a portfolio of bondage work with this much variety in terms of models and concepts. It’s a truly groundbreaking collection.

Shibari, the Japanese term for rope bondage, is the art of tying a body with rope. Nothing more, nothing less. Many people incorporate bondage into sexual play but there's plenty of times when bondage is just something nice to look at. A body tied in rope can be beautiful, evocative, striking, artistic, sexy or all of the above. The Dark Arts aims to capture human bodies tied into shapes and poses that stimulate the viewer's entire brain.

In addition to the photographs, the book features a section of fan art. Talented artists from all over the world have used The Dark Arts’ photos for inspiration and they wanted to celebrate that by dedicating a section to this amazing work.
