LAS VEGAS—When AVN Media Network debuted its AVN Novelty Expo Media Event, organizers knew there would be some bugs that needed to be worked out. On Thursday, the second so-around for the event took place in a new location, with a new sponsor and with a real sense of purpose.
Located in 35 Steaks + Martinis, the invite-only event featured an improved set-up with where exhibitors and members of mainstream media mingled, shared cocktails and snacks, and held discussions about some of the best, most intriguing and trending pleasure products available.
The event was sponsored by Eldorado Trading Co., which showcased a number of the brands the distribution company carries, including Tyes by Tara and Clean Light Laboratories, which manufacturers the UVee cleaning system.
CalExotics, Topco Sales, b-Vibe, Lovense, Nasstoys, Kama Sutra, Motorbunny, NS Novelties, Clandestine Devices, XR Brands and more than a dozen other manufacturers set up shop to talk about their products with the likes of Vice, Engadget, CNBC and others. Discussions varied from how technological advances in pleasure products can help couples connect over long distances, to how better materials can improve a user’s experience with pleasure products, to how some manufacturers have adapted over the years—in some cases over decades—to stay relevant and leaders in the industry.
The ANE Media Event is fast becoming one of the most anticipated events during the B2B trade show, as ANE is the only trade event that allows members of the media to visit the show floor and special events. The opportunity for manufacturers to get their brand and product ranges introduced to the media translates to consumer awareness about their products.
