SAN FRANCISCO—On Friday, January 31, the Center for Sex & Culture will proudly host one of the most entertaining and experienced commentators ever to pen a book about porn: Howie Gordon, the Talk Dirty to Me actor known as Richard Pacheco in the 1970s and '80s, has written the extraordinary story of his life, Hindsight: True Love and Mischief in the Golden Age of Porn.
Charming and funny, sexy and trenchant, and with an introduction by his friend Whoopi Goldberg, Howie Gordon’s memoir of his years as Pacheco provides laughs, gasps, and priceless insight into the world of pre-Internet porn. Come meet Howie and celebrate the launch of this long-awaited book—he’ll read selections and share stories.
As an added bonus, his son Bobby Gordon, whose solo show Debbie Does My Dad wowed audiences at CSC and elsewhere when he developed it, will share the stage and perform excerpts from a work that answers the question, "What's it like to find out your dad was a famous porn star?"
This special event, the Howie Gordon (Richard Pacheco) Hindsight book party, will take place at the Center for Sex & Culture, 1349 Mission Street (between 9th and 10th Streets), San Francisco. There is no charge for admission, but donations to CSC will be gratefully accepted (thoug not required).
Hindsight is available now from Bear Manor Media.
