WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Stormy Daniels, who has become arguably the most famous porn star in history recently, is being honored this week by the City of West Hollywood, Calif., and to celebrate she will attend an in-store event at Chi Chi LaRue’s.
Daniels will be presented with the Key to the City of West Hollywood on Wednesday, May 23, and Mayor John Duran is declaring it Stormy Daniels Day. In addition to the political festivities, Daniels will sell items from her StormyStore.com site at Chi Chi LaRue’s.
“Love Stormy!” store owner and award-winning adult film director Chi Chi LaRue told AVN. “Love what she has done for the nation, for women and for the industry! Over the moon to have her at the store.”
The Key to the City ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. at Chi Chi LaRue's, located at 8861 Santa Monica Boulevard, between Fiesta Cantina and Micky’s.
The store signing will begin at 7 p.m. And after 10 p.m., any fan wearing a #TeamStormy T-shirt will gain VIP entrance to a meet-and-greet with Daniels at the world-famous Abbey nightclub at 692 N Robertson Blvd.
Daniels, an award-winning adult performer and director and AVN Hall of Fame member, started making mainstream headlines when news broke of an alleged affair she had with Donald Trump in 2006. Attention on the alleged affair grew when it was determined Trump’s personal attorney and “fixer” Michael Cohen reportedly paid $130,000 in hush money to Daniels just days before the 2016 general election. Since then, Daniels has sued to be let out of an NDA, and also has sued Trump for defamation. The original lawsuit is on hold after a judge said there could be significant overlap between the civil case and an ongoing criminal investigation against Cohen.
