CatalystCon Changing Dates, Venue

LOS ANGELES—CatalystCon—which just concluded its sixth West Coast installment—will move to a location in a new month in 2018.

Slated for May 4-6, 2018, CatalystCon will move to the Marriott Los Angeles.

“May is a better time of year,” explained Dee Dennis, founder of the conference. “With trade shows, consumer shows and even holidays in September, the move to May will give attendees more time and we will be able to grow CatalystCon even more.”

And while the location for CatalystCon will change as well, Dennis noted the new hotel is just down the street from the current host hotel, so it will not change travel plans at all for attendees.

“CatalystCon was founded in Los Angeles, and we really love Los Angeles,” Dennis said.

In addition to the new time and location, CatalystCon also will begin offering a scholarship to allow a sex worker to attend the conference. Details will be made available soon on the conference website, Dennis said.

CatalystCon is a three-day conference that brings together speakers and attendees to address topics such as feminist porn, sex education, body image and sexuality, sex work, and political organizing in the sex positive community. For more information, visit CalatystCon.com.
