Bling a Big Hit At International Lingerie Show

LAS VEGAS—As the New International Lingerie Show continued its three-day run at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, buyers were treated to some of the season’s hottest trends: one-piece bodysuits and bling.

Forplay Lingerie was among the exhibitors with one-piece bodysuits in a variety of colors and styles. Long sleeves, sleeveless and others were being oohed and aahed at by attendees.

In the Magie’s booth, company rep Magda said her hottest sellers were see-through mesh body suits decorated with rhinestones.

“Everything today has to be blingy,” she said. “Anything with rhinestones or glitter is all the rage.”

Shirley of Hollywood and Magic Silk were also in on the one-piece designs, as well as offering babydoll intimate wear and sleepwear decked out with bling. Among the more popular outfits from Shirley of Hollywood was a sheer mesh babydoll decorated with pink pearls secured with small metal rivets. The outfit included matching G-string panties.

Magic Silk’s brother company, Male Power, also exhibited at the show, with new packaging for some of its boxed collections, and the latest for men in underwear, loungewear and more.

Costumes weren’t overlooked this time around either, as Starline—makers of premium costumes and lingerie—was an exhibitor, and J Templeton Inc. filled its booth with woven plaid skirts perfect for schoolgirl fantasies in or out of the bedroom.

But the bling wasn’t limited to just the clothing. A Touch of Fur owner Matthew said attendees were showing interest in metal sounds, as well as the various metal anal plugs the company offers. With various sizes on hand, the company’s anal plugs were decorated with everything from jeweled flowers to jewel hearts. Metal headbands with animal ears—some blinged out with rhinestones and other jewels—were also a big hit, Matthew noted.
