Artificial intelligence has begun to permeate every aspect of daily life, and now data scientists have deployed AI technology for what is likely a popular purpose—to create a scientifically perfect, albeit simulated, oral sex experience for men. Makers of the Autoblow 2, the automated fellatio simulator that reportedly set a crowdfunding record for sex toy campaigns in 2014, have used data science, and even published a scientific research paper on their findings in developing the next generation of the robotic blow job device.
According to a report by Pink News, scientists working for the company crunched data from 108 hours of porn videos that featured blow job scenes, using machine learning technology to build a dataset of the most frequently used and effective fellatio techniques.
“1145 pornographic videos depicting blowjobs were acquired and cut to contain only the sections depicting the blowjob itself,” the scientists explained in their research paper, Analysis of Movement in Oral Sex Performed Upon Men. “These clips were then manually annotated by reviewers, using a custom UI to record the position of the mouth along the penile shaft. The position was recorded as an integer, where 1000 represents the tip of the shaft, and 0 the base of the penis.”
The data was then broken down into 10 “modes,” each containing a series of precise movements to be programmed into the Autoblow AI device.
“The results were better than we hoped,” the researchers wrote. “We managed to pick out little-to-no activity (associated with pre- and post-blowjob segments, pauses, edging); shallow activity near the top (tip play); concentrated activity near the base (deepthroating); transitions from top to base or base to top; and various variations on constant activity at various levels, and various frequencies.”
While the details of the study may be of interest to statisticians, robotics engineers and other data scientists, prospective users will more likely be interested only in one thing — how does it work?
“Our patent pending penis stroking mechanism performs 16 oral sex techniques we discovered using artificial intelligence,” the Autoblow AI IndieGoGo page states. “The machine can move its soft sleeve and carriage between any of 250 different points at a variety of velocities, unlocking sensations previously caused only by humans.”
The device even comes with a pause button, or as the manufacturers call it, “an ‘edging”’feature (that) allows users to pause movement at any time to prolong enjoyment or to practice lasting longer.”
The final product is slated to sell for $249, but contributors to the IndiGoGo campaign can pre-order an AutoBlow AI for $139 (plus shipping, of course). With 12 days left in the crowdfunding campaign, the blow job machine makers have raised more than $200,000—four times their original goal of $50,000.
