ANME Puts Another Successful Show in the Books

BURBANK, Calif.The summer edition of ANME—the American Novelty Manufacturers Expo—held this week at the Burbank Marriott, provided a stunning collection of manufacturers from around the world, showing their new products to retail buyers, distributors, educators and others in the trade. There were countless additions to well established lines as well as expansions into the adult world from lingerie companies to supplements, all of whom reported an excellent show.

Featured this year was a “New Vendor Showcase” which was a separate room dedicated to manufacturers displaying their wares for the first time. Included was Like A Kitten, where founder Natalie Annis stated, “What a great show! We spoke to many distributors as well as met new retailers, who placed nice orders with us during the show. It was non-stop busy and we were really happy!”

Canada was represented by POW Products, helmed by Justin DePow, the creator of the frot product CockBlock, a truly unique product. American Dazzle’s Pleasure line paired with fellow Spanish company Orgie to present their full line of pleasure products. Well known item The Handy featured new, individually packaged sleeves for their popular product. Several other companies were presented in this always busy room.

The main room showcased other new companies as well as four of the founders of ANME: CalExotics, Nasstoys, Pipedream Products and Doc Johnson. Bursting with new items and displays, the four companies continued their legacies to wow customers with creative colors, packaging and technology. Westridge Labs rolled out its new Wellness Essentials line of deep blue pleasure products, each beautifully packaged with a one oz. bottle of the bestselling Glide lubricant. Metro showcased its new Hung line of cock rings in unique packaging that also doubles as a storage box.

Sportsheets launched new packaging and products, always remaining ahead of trends and desires for the buying public. Shots featured a new, elegant collection of bondage gear in pastel colors adorned with jewels, blurring the lines of fetish and fashion accessories. Kheper Games kept the humor going with many new products of card games, party cups, and featured the Warm Human line of entertaining “Shit I Want to Manifest” cards and complementary items. British company Creative Conceptions and Canadian company Shunga rolled out their new products to well received acclaim. Many other companies in the main room remained busy throughout the three-day show, with all of them agreeing it was quite a success.

The Foyer that wraps around the main room boasted several new companies including Sleazy Greetings, hysterical cards that tell it like it is. Other companies in this area included Flintts Mints, BSwish, Swiss Navy lubricants, Tantus, Perfect Fit, Canada’s Nobu Toys, Kama Sutra and more. The flow of buyers was consistent since one would walk by all these booths to get into the Main Room.

The Tent to the side of the main exhibit area featured some smaller companies as well as well established companies. Canadian lingerie company Coquette featured its beautiful Pleasure Collection, lingerie with rose gold metal loops, rings and clips that can let the brand's new line of light restraint accessories interact with the high quality teddies, panties, bras and other offerings. Wet, one of the most well established lubricant manufacturers in the U.S., continued the rollout of new products and packaging featuring the tagline “Just Add Sex.” Brand manager Andrew Eustace shared, “The show was fantastic and beyond our expectations. Retailers can’t wait to reintroduce the entire Wet line of lubricants to their customers.”

Relative newcomer Nextstarr Toys displayed its new packaging and products to rave reviews from buyers. Zach Smith of Maia Toys featured the company's new Nala Wand in the Fierce collection of high powered pleasure products. Oxballs, known for its wide range of cock rings, expanded its line with clever and well made jock straps, proudly launched at the expo. Icon Brands continued to present new products along with ever-expanding Honey Play Box. Pheromone scent manufacturer Eye of Love offered testers of its new CBD line, Bloom, which will get action going with the blend of CBD and pheromones. Curve Toys showed off its expanding line of masturbators and vibes, and the large, adjacent XR Toys booth continued to wow attendees with its ever expanding line “Creature Cocks” which have something for everyone willing to try something different.

Well known buyer for Adam & Eve mailorder, Anne Sebastian, found plenty of new items and vendors to keep her buying for quite a while. “This summer’s ANME had a great atompshere and I especially loved the lunchtime foodtrucks!” she said.

Industry stalwart Mike Savage, with 35 years under his belt in the adult pleasure products world, introduced his two product lines: Miami Distribution and Full Circle, both of which were remarkably well received by all who looked at everything in the large booth.

Blush Novelties featured many of its new lines, including the remarkably deceptive Slambox, which hides on a shelf like a speaker but has a fully functional and frisky male masturbator inside. 

Sexual Desires presented its beautifully repackaged line of products and gave everyone a high quality shirt to enjoy as well.
