LAS VEGAS—The Altitude Intimates Show, featuring the best in lingerie and sexual health and wellness products, wrapped up its successful three day, industry-only trade show on Feb. 28. Taking place at the Paris Hotel on the world famous Las Vegas Strip, the show featured not only manufacturers of these in-demand products but also several, well-established distributors, servicing buyers from the US and several other countries.
The adult products brand Thank Me Now’s Danielle Seerley shared: “It’s been fantastic to connect with everyone and see some faces for the new year. We debuted our 'Hello, Sexy!' line, met many new buyers, connected with current ones and I always believe it’s nice to offer a personal connection at the show.”
Icon Brand Sales rep Lewis Adams agreed.
“It was a really good show. I had the opportunity to put a lot of faces to voices, which is always nice," Adams said. "The feedback we got on the new Alien Nation Cock Sheath, which envelopes the cock and balls, was a hit, as well as the Alien Nation thrusting toys.” He chuckled when he added, “And everyone loves our Darth Invader. It’s been our best seller since we released it.”
Like A Kitten’s founder, Natalie Annis, debuted their line of cute and cheeky toys at Altitude last year and was thrilled with the results of vending at this year’s show. “Since our line is aimed at a younger generation, many customers are bringing in our toys that feature our empowering messaging for young women that using toys is promoting positive sexual self-awareness and self-esteem. We’re really proud of the line and our growing customer base.”
Rouge Group, based out of UK, featured their high-end, luxurious BDSM equipment. With her lovely British accent, Kerry Hart shared, “We met with many existing accounts, and they were very excited about our new ping pong paddle with soft, sheep leather on the padded side and stiffer cow leather on other side. Also, our new Black on Black range, featuring black hardware, was very well received but the highlight of the show was our POP display of mini floggers and paddles that are great for kinky closeup work.”
She continued, “All in all, it was a great show!”
Maia Toys, based in Houston, already signed up for next year. Company reps also met with new customers and had lots of visitors to the booth. Maia highlighted its newly released Jaguar, which is a classy, multi-speed, silicone bullet vibe adorned with a matching metallic ring.
High-end company Crave debuted its elegant wares at Altitude. Crave’s Rachel Johnston mentioned, “It was our first time with dedicated booth, and we had a great experience connecting with shops all over the world.”
Well known industry vet, Conde Aumann, from Nu Sensuelle, noted how many qualified buyers were in attendance. “We’re releasing eight new products and everyone was excited to see them. Everyone was impressed with our new ‘Daisy,’ which has powerful suction, a tongue licker and it also thrusts.” She enthusiastically quipped, “All in all, it was a great show!”
The Altitude Show features many other manufacturers that encompass the wide range of the world of lingerie. Feather companies, stockings and garters manufacturers, and several shoe companies rounded out the many offerings.
Longtime industry rep Blanca Estrada Gonzalez of Magic Silk and Male Power shared, “The show has been great. We opened a few new accounts as well as showed our new items to our existing customers. We’ve recently partnered with a new company for production and are excited about the new collections we have for every show.”
Blanca was especially excited about the new Sweet Treats panty line, which are fruit-printed panties that include a tube of corresponding flavored lube from Wicked Sensual Care.
“We also are catering to the counter culture market with black light reactive pieces where even the packaging glows under black light," Gonzalez said. "We also added a Hazy Days line for cannabis lovers. All of the new lines were really well received!”
Shirley of Hollywood’s Eric Schlobohn felt the show was actually pretty good. “We saw new buyers and a lot of our key regular clients who love coming to this show. We had great reactions to our popular lines and our customers really enjoyed having sneak peeks of our holiday collections because you can never plan too far ahead.”
He added, “Even though the traffic seemed a little light, we felt pretty good about the show and look forward to the next one!”
A rep from longtime vendor, Ellie Shoes, said the show provided a three days of seeing old friends and customers and noted how people were excited about viewing their new collection. Citing current trends in the dress footwear side of the lingerie business, they stated that rhinestones have always done well but they noticed seeing a trend for nude colors.
As one of the most popular lingerie shows in the country, Altitude is here to stay and everyone is looking forward to next year’s edition.
