LAS VEGAS—It’s not just lingerie that finds its way onto the show floor at the International Lingerie Show each year; accessories are often a big hit among buyers.
In the Western Fashion booth, model Ari Starr was quick to point out the newest fashion accessories: kaleidoscope glasses and goggles.
“They are so cool,” she said. “They are perfect for music festivals, or even for Halloween.”
Also making a splash this year are peaked caps (think of the style similar to a police or military hat), particularly in metallic or glittery colors. Western Fashion also carries a number of items that add bling to any outfit, including backpacks that light up and self-adhesive jewels for body and hair.
Hosiery also is a big plus for attendees of ILS. This time at the show, Jiangsu Huayi Knitting Co. Ltd. set up shop with various types of stocking and bodysuits, while Kixies Thigh Highs were a hit with their no-slip, all-day wear stockings in various textures and patterns.
In the Glamory booth, rep Tim Gettler showcased the company’s newest range of hosiery designed specifically for little people.
“There are three designs: leggings, footless and sheer,” he said. “And each design is based on actual measurements of little people.”
The new range is a collaboration with a German manufacturer who creates clothing—dresses, shirts, pants and more—and wanted to expand, Gettler said.
Also new to Glamory are five new patterns of suspender tights and garter tights, including fishnet and sheer patterns, Gettler said.
Buyers looking for plus-size items were sure to find them at the Curvy Kate booth, where reps displayed panties and bras up to a K cup. A new range called "Girls Night" is also available now, and capitalizes on the wet look that is so popular this fall.
Shapewear that has sexy appeal has been a staple of the Rago brand since 1945. Celebrating its 75th year in 2020, reps for the manufacturer were in the booth at ILS to help buyers and attendees find quality pieces for a reasonable price.
“Rago has always been about shape wear that’s sexy,” said Cassie Weaver, a model and sales rep for the past 12 years for the company. “Most of the time, you can only find shape wear that’s beige, black, tan, white … this is better.”
Fellow sales rep Alexa Fernandes noted pieces are accented with lace, floral-patterned fabric and more to make it more appealing.
Sleep sets—pajama pants and long-sleeved or short-sleeved shirts—were a big hit in the Jezebel/Felina booth. The sets were available in muted shades of gray and mauve, as well as in a variety of sizes.
Golyta had a number of brands displayed, including Haughty and iCollection. In the Glitter range, the company debuted 420-themed items, including a bodysuit and bra-and-panty set decorated with cannabis leaves in camouflage colors.
Oh La La Cheri showcased new lacy bodysuits and robes in black and deep maroon colors, while Shirley of Hollywood displayed items from the Winter Collection 2019, including mesh bodysuits in nude and black, corsets in black and maroon and full-length lace gowns in black and maroon, all decorated with sequins for an extra “pop.”
As always, there was much to see and touch in the Touch of Fur booth, including bright silver metal anal plugs decorated with colorful jewels in the base, and soft and furry stuffed rabbit key chains and backpacks.
Everest Trading was the only booth to display pleasure products, with some dildos, nipple clamps and vibrators sharing space with leather whips and floggers as well as leather corsets.
Imagex Innovation was on hand to demonstrate various products to help with skin issues, including face creams and LED light therapy, and next to it, the Sermon Industries booth offered GTG Hard male supplements designed to last 24 hours.
