HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — XR LLC has added the Magic Wand Controller to the roster of novelty products available at XRWholesale.com.
The controller is designed to transform the best-selling Hitachi Magic Wand from a two-speed vibrator to a dial-controlled vibe with an “infinite number of available speeds,” according to the website.
“We expect [the controller] to be a great seller,” XR owner Ari Suss said. “The Hitachi Magic Wand only has two settings: high and low. This accessory allows users to fully adjust the amount of power and vibration that the Hitachi Magic Wand produces.”
Ian Denchasy, co-owner of upscale boutique Freddy and Eddy, likened the controller to a dimmer switch used on lighting.
“My wife can’t take the power [of the Hitachi Magic Wand],” he said. “This [controller] will allow her to use it.”
The Magic Wand Controller, which was added to XR’s wholesale website Tuesday, is being sold for $19. Suss said the controller has become a top seller since it entered the retail arena last week.
According to Affiliate Representative James Medina, XR released the controller for wholesale to help retailers put it in the hands of as many Magic Wand users as possible.
“[W]e can’t reach everyone, and everyone will want it, so we’re rushing it into wholesale immediately so everyone can get it and get it out to Magic Wand owners everywhere,” he said. “It’s a groundbreaking accessory for the Hitachi Magic Wand.”
Medina said he expects the speed-controlling attachment to be a strong seller.
“There are plenty of head attachments for the wand, but none that add this extra functionality,” he said. “I expect it to sell as successfully as an iPod accessory that made your iPod into a fully functioning light saber, but proportionately to the number of Hitachi [Magic Wand] owners. Essentially, everyone who has a Hitachi Magic Wand would likely appreciate this device.”
Suss said the controller can be used to make other plug-in sex toys fully adjustable.
