World of Wonder to Host 'Merry Titmas' Exhibit

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Art curator Lenora Claire will open her "Merry Titmas" exhibit Dec. 8 at the World of Wonder gallery at 6650 Hollywood Blvd.

Claire said proceeds from the exhibit, which she called the "breast art show in town," will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting breast cancer.

"The show is based on the belief that art, much like breasts, should be in your face," Claire said. "It should stimulate and titillate. We're terrified to think that one out of eight of our bosom buddies will develop breast cancer, so we've made the decision to support not only the arts, but one of our favorite charities."

The opening night of Claire's previous art show at the World of Wonder gallery-"Golden Gals Gone Wild" -drew a crowd of nearly 2,000 and media attention from The Globe, the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Magazine, L.A. Weekly, Bizarre Magazine, Frontiers, and TMZ.com.

Claire told AVN Novelty Business that those who attended the "Golden Gals" exhibit know her shows are as much about spectacle as they are about art. She said the same should be expected of "Merry Titmas."

"You can expect 10-foot squirting breast fountains, candy-cane stripper poles, busty sideshow performers and the most titillating art collection ever," she said. "You'll think you've died and joined Russ Meyer in heaven!"

Artists featured in the "Merry Titmas" exhibit include mainstream-movie artist Chris Zimmerman, Russ Meyer-film legend Kitty Natividad, self-proclaimed "21st-century Warhol" Plasticgod, Emily Strange illustrator Valarie Bermudez, Zackary Drucker, Glen Hanson, Austin Young, Ed Mironiuk, Buff Monster, Dean Carr, Sam Woolley, Gay Bigfoot, Angus Oblong, Nouar, Luke Gilford, Jamie Boling, Bubbles the artist, My Secret Life in Glass and DJ Jason Savvy.
