Women Find Their Match with betty

NEW YORK - CEO Nancy Jarecki of betty, the company that creates color for the hair down there, will be speaking at the HBA Global Expo tomorrow in New York.

"From soccer moms in the suburbs to baby boomers - including men, betty's wide demographic of consumers is proud to proclaim their gratitude towards betty for giving them the confidence and empowerment they need to feel good about themselves," Jarecki said as she prepares to speak at the expo, a product development event and educational conference.

After initially launching the brand over a year ago, betty blazed through a mainstream campaign including Oprah, People and Vogue Magazine and collected numerous awards. The success of the company has proved that the most innovative products have a place in everyday regimes. Such is the case for her safe, no-drip color dye formulated to match your hair below with the hair above.

Jarecki is the entrepreneur and brainchild behind the product line that has capitalized on an opportunity in a non-traditional sector.

"While sitting in a hair salon in Rome, I noticed women leaving the salon with little paper bags," Jarecki said. "When I asked the receptionist what these gift bags from the colorist were, the receptionist replied ‘per sotto per farli combaciare' (to match down there)."

It dawned on Jarecki that if women in Rome were finding ways to match their hair south of the border, ladies around the globe would follow. When Jarecki pursued her hunch, she realized there was no safe product that existed on the market and she recruited a toxicologist and gynecologist to help create a completely-safe formula.

"Unlike current hair dyes on the market, betty is formulated with natural ingredients and skin conditioners. All betty colors are ammonia and paraben free, which keeps betty completely safe," she explained.

Each betty kit comes complete with enough product for one-to-two applications, depending on the amount of hair down south, a mixing tray, customized application wand, spatula, gloves and easy-to-follow instructions.

At the July Adult Novelty Expo in Los Angeles, Jarecki was in high spirits as she marketed her product to the adult market. "We've been very well received and had a really good response. It's great!" she emphatically told ANB at the time.

As the mainstream exposure has widened Jarecki's audience, she is gifting special matching betty nail polish with the purchase of her newly released auburn and brown betty color kits this fall.
