PENNSAUKEN, N.J.—Williams Trading Co. has hired Angela D. to fill the role of the newly created marketing liason position, effective today.
Although new to the role, she was previously employed with Williams Trading in a customer service capacity, often reaching out to the various manufacturers for images and information pertaining to new products.
As the newest member of the Williams family, Angela will be the primary point of contact for all manufacturers overseeing all external trade and vendor support including marketing promotions as well as new product launches.
With Williams Trading Co. quickly approaching their 40-year anniversary, the company is keeping its feet firmly planted in its legacy, yet looking to the future, by implementing big changes to its team.
“Having a strong background in customer service really prepared me for this role,” Angela D. said. “I know in my previous gig with Williams, I had really begun to build some strong interpersonal relationships with many of our vendors. I am excited to have been brought back as part of this team because we have many positive things coming down the pike, and I hope to communicate our level of commitment to the vendor and the retailer in all we do.”
Coming from a client relations manager role, she hopes to add to the company's already cemented reputation for going above and beyond for the numerous vendors and retailers they service.
Her educational background, as a marketing graduate, also helped facilitate the transition.
“I know that coming from the energy industry, the work we did could sometimes become mundane in its nature,” she said. “This job allows me to put on my creative thinking cap, and being among former coworkers, some of which I came to regard as a second family, it's really a positive step forward on both ends.”
“We're delighted to have Angela back with us,” said Bob Pyne Jr. “When we created the marketing liaison position we knew she would fit into the role perfectly. In her previous position, she showed tremendous commitment to cultivating lasting relationships with vendors, and was thorough and personable with her work. I believe she is a great spokesperson for the company and will help us move the company forward in the future.”
