Williams Trading Seeks New Silicone

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – New Jersey-based distributor Williams Trading Company has picked up Vixen Creations Silicone, replacing the Tantus Silicone line of products it previously stocked.

The deal represents a major opportunity for Vixen, a woman-operated plant that has proffered its line of silicone products to boutique owners and home party representatives in San Francisco over the last several years. "People know our products are good and they love our stuff," says Denise Corona, Vixen's marketing and wholesale manager. "That's made us kind of a word-of-mouth company and we've grown 200 percent in the last two years. We felt like a partnership with Williams was the right move for us. We're trying to step out a little more."

Williams Trading rep Richard Pyne also anticipates a mutually beneficial result from the partnership. "We want to thank Vixen for allowing us to take on their line and I know our business relationship will be a successful one," he says.

Tantus CEO Michael Smith told ANB he was amicable in his dealings with Williams Trading, noting that, over the course of their partnership, his company handled North American customers and took the lead on web development. His company will now shift its business and product focus to distributor East Coast News. "I respect all the people at Vixen; they have a great product," says Smith.
