PENNSAUKEN, N.J.—As a way of saying "thank you" to their loyal customers for a wonderful and prosperous year, the Williams Trading Co. family once again made donations to the American Heart & Stroke Association as well as Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
"One small way of expressing our gratitude to our customers is through giving," said Kelly Szwed, marketing and promotions coordinator at Williams Trading. "The customers are the lifeblood of our business, and we want to thank them by donating in their names."
Both causes are particularly important to Vice President Bob Pyne Jr.
"Both breast cancer and stroke have affected the Pyne family in the past; therefore, the causes are quite literally near and dear to my heart," he said. "We take the fight against breast cancer and stroke prevention very seriously."
Every year breast cancer claims more than 40,000 American women’s lives, according to statistics. Stroke is the No. 3 cause of death, behind diseases of the heart and cancer, and the leading cause of adult disability in the United States.
"We are proud to support both of these causes in an effort to find a cure," Pyne said. “Williams Trading has made donations for five years running and continues to do so until a cure is found.”
