LOS ANGELES - Actress, comedian and talk-show host Whoopi Goldberg said Friday on "The View" that she bought her daughter a vibrator "because she wanted one."
"It was called 'the Rabbit,' and I said to her, 'Have you ever seen this thing?' and she said, 'Oh, my god', " Goldberg said. "And I said, 'Do you want one?' and she said 'Yeah,' so I went and got her one."
Goldberg surprised the panel when she said she and her daughter had discussed the sex toy. Responding to the panel's gasps, Goldberg asked, "Is it because you can't think of your parents as sexual beings?"
Host Sherri Shepard was horrified by Goldberg's statement.
"I don't even want to discuss sex with my mother," she said.
