Voting Now Open For Wet Platinum Man Of The Year Contest

LOS ANGELES—Trigg Laboratories, makers of the Wet family of lubricants, is encouraging fans to vote for their favorite model in the Wet Platinum Man of the Year Contest 2015.

Six men—each of whom was named a Wet Platinum Man of the Month between July and December 2015—are vying for the title. In addition to being named the first-ever Wet Platinum Man of the Year, the contestant with the most votes will also win two round-trip plane tickets to anywhere in the U.S. and a $500 cash prize.

The men—Justin, Jack, Dave, Emilio, Lucas and Giovanni—can be seen and voted on here.

The contest started last year, when reps from Trigg Laboratories reached out to Jack Mackenroth, a well-known model, athlete, fashion designer, and AIDS activist who is a senior communications officer at The Global Forum on MSM & HIV.

“He happily agreed to be our Wet Platinum Man of the Month for August 2015,” said a spokesperson for Trigg Laboratories. “We ran two feature newsletters on Jack, one that focused on his career as a model and the other about his life as an HIV activist. The story was picked up by multiple news agencies. It was hugely successful. We now get dozens of submissions each month from men wanting to be the face of Wet Platinum. We love seeing how many hot guys are fans of Wet and how willing they are to interact with the brand through social media.”

From there, the contest grew, and now the company has decided to allow fans to decide the the Wet Platinum Man of the Year 2015.

“You’ll definitely be seeing some of the hot guys from our Wet Platinum Man of the Month and Wet Platinum Man of the Year contests in our marketing materials later in the year and maybe elsewhere,” the company rep said. “The only way to fully enjoy our Wet Platinum Man of the Month is to subscribe to our newsletter.  You can see these uncensored muscle studs monthly by signing up at WetPlatinumMan.com.”

The company plans to continue the Wet Platinum Man of the Month contest in 2016. To be considered, send your photos to [email protected]. Photos do not need to be professionally taken but they should be well lit, show your face and body, and be produced at a high resolution.

Michael Trigg founded Trigg Laboratories in 1989 at the height of the HIV epidemic. In the late ‘80s, everyone was very concerned about the transfer of HIV, and rates of condom use skyrocketed. Not satisfied with the typical drugstore offerings, Trigg set out to develop lube formulations that enhanced protected sex.

Because condoms are more likely to break without the use of a lubricant, the timing was right to hit the market with a “fun” packaged product.

At the time, lubricant use was increasing 15 percent per year. People were beginning to understand that a lubricant not only eased condom use but enhanced pleasure a great deal.

Trigg Laboratories products are now available in 62 countries and sales continue to expand throughout the world with multiple channels of distribution including adult boutique stores and the food, drug and mass market. Trigg also donates 250,000 safe sex kits to more than 300 nonprofits and events every year to promote safer sex. These philanthropic efforts, he believes, has brought about positive karma for the company.
