LOS ANGELES—General Media Communications, Inc., the owner of the world-famous "Penthouse" trademarks, in collaboration with Passarella Death Squad, announced today that the "Videodrome" exhibition will appear in three different cities throughout the month of July: Brussels, London and Tokyo.
Beginning Thursday, July 9, the 16 fine art prints and 5 t-shirt designs, based on prints from deep within the Penthouse archive which have been photographed, cropped and altered by designer Danny Passarella, will be on display at Hunting and Collecting Select Store in Brussels, Belgium. Recognized worldwide for their unique product selection and ever-evolving store design, Hunting and Collecting is an international platform for contemporary fashion, design, culture and lifestyle and is the only store in Brussels to be recognized as an Adidas Consortium account.
Following a two-week exhibition in Brussels, the collection will move back to London and onto the walls of Aria. Located in Islington, London, Aria is a premiere destination for furniture, offering a combination of contemporary and vintage style of modern decor. The fine art prints will be incorporated into the furniture floor displays and available for immediate purchase.
The suite of artworks is printed on a Kodak C-Type metallic paper in editions of 20 and will be available for £400 per print.
At the end of the month, the collection will move to SuperAMarket in Tokyo, Japan. A unique store concept featuring a restaurant along with all of the latest fashions, SuperAMarket will sell the tees and prints as well as exhibit vintage Penthouse magazines for customers to peruse while checking out the collaboration.
“It’s an honor to have the 'Passarella Death Squad x Penthouse' collaboration featured at such high-profile retailers.” said Amanda Byrd, Director of Global Licensing for Penthouse. “Endorsements from these stores, which highlight the best of every market, are yet another indication that this collection of tees and fine art prints has struck a chord with enlightened retailers and their customers. It’s a testament to the story of the fifty year old iconic Penthouse brand and the progressive fashion house, Passarella Death Squad, joining forces on a truly unique group of goods.”
