WARRINGTON, England - Nice n Naughty, Ltd., a UK adult retailer, is the first store of its kind to be shortlisted to win a Warrington Business Award, a benchmark for excellence in business in the area. Of about 1,000 businesses, Naughty's flagship store has made it to the final two for the "Business of the Year" award.
Of the award, Philip Price, regional manager for the Warrington store said, "It is a great achievement, for both Nice n Naughty as a company, but also the staff within the Warrington branch, to reach the final two businesses shortlisted for the Business of the Year award. What this shows is the commitment and dedication of the company to change the perceived concept of the adult retail industry."
To be considered for the prestigious prize, the retailer had to meet stringent criteria, including demonstrating quality throughout the organization's structure, strong communications, and good employee/employer relations.
These qualities also have been acknowledged through their status as "Investors in People" since February 1995. This distinction means the business passed an assessment by the eponymous program, determining the company as having a healthy business culture of continued staff development and training. They were the first adult retailer to meet this standard.
The company is also nominated for a 2008 ETO Award for "Adult Industry Retailer of the Year." They have won this peer-determined award for three consecutive years. This awards ceremony is held in July.
The Warrington Business Awards gala will be held July 18 at the Park Royal Hotel, Stretton, Warrington. Staff and management from the Warrington store are set to attend as well as Trish Murray, retail director, and Richard Allmark, national retail manager.
