Topco's Got a Gunn

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - 2007 AVN Male Performer of the Year, Tommy Gunn has inked a deal with manufacturer Topco Sales to develop a line of novelties.

Gunn told AVN Novelty Business that he had wanted to start branding his name in another area of the adult industry.

"I was at the point in my career where I felt that I wanted to try to expand and get my name out there in a different way, such as in the novelty side of the biz," he said. "I put the word out to a couple of contacts, and I received a response from Topco about the possibility of doing something. I'm thrilled to do this with a powerhouse such as Topco, where I can have the ability to collaborate and share my ideas with them."

The line will begin with a Gunn replica to be released in spring 2008, and other novelties may follow later in the year. The cast for the replica was taken at Topco's lab Monday, when Gunn met with CEO Scott Tucker.

"We did the cast and signed the deal Monday, and it was a real experience-unlike anything I have ever been involved with," Gunn said. "I've been given the green light to freely come up with and develop potential items with a unique styling, and if they decide what I've thought up has potential, we'll then move into developing and designing the toy."

Tucker told ANB he has high hopes for the new line.

"We are excited to have Tommy join the Topco Sales family as our newest contract model," he said. "He has a great image and an outstanding reputation. With the recent molding, we are now locked and loaded to make several Tommy Gunn toys in the near future."

Gunn said he is "extremely excited and flattered" to be in a partnership with Topco.

"The team at Topco [is] extremely open to any idea I have, and that is such a great feeling," he said. "We plan on doing very well with the ventures ahead."

Gunn has been nominated for five 2008 AVN Awards' including Best Supporting Actor (for Kill Jill), Performer of the Year, and three sex scene categories.
