Topco Provides Products at Sundance, AFI Film Festivals

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Novelty manufacturer Topco Sales provided products under several brands at the Sundance and the AFI film festivals.

Bridging the gap between the mainstream and the adult novelty world, Topco Sales provided grrl toyz products and promotional items at Paris Hilton's party during the Sundance Film Festival. Rascal Toys were given as gifts during the "Queer Lounge Party," and MySpace VIPs were treated to gift baskets that included Sex Tarts, Fizz and grrl toyz.

During AFI, Topco Sales donated grrl toyz and Sex Tarts for the filmmakers' special department gift bags.

Topco Sales also is a sponsor of the short-film production company Dirty Little Shorts, whose award-winning Filthy Food features food being seductively fondled and consumed.

To help promote the short film, Topco Sales is providing the TLC Vibrating Cucumber and Vibrating Sausage as giveaways for attendees at screenings.

"We raffle off Vibrating Sausages and Cucumbers to the crowd at the screenings, and they absolutely love it," said Alison Cardoso, producer for Dirty Little Shorts. "Partnering with Topco Sales for the promotion of Filthy Food is like pairing hot dogs with apple pie: We just go together."

Desiree Duffie, director of marketing and public relations for Topco Sales, said the partnership reflects the company's interest in supporting artistic projects.

"Getting our products recognized during the film festivals is great, but what Topco Sales is really excited about is supporting artistic interests," she said. "Filthy Food might not win an Oscar, but the short film is provocative and compelling."
