Three Sex Shops Robbed Early Saturday in Mo.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A man used his vehicle to force open the doors of two novelty stores, then broke the window of a third store Saturday and stole several sex toys, Springfield police said Monday.

Police said the man hit Victoria's Palace, Cosmic Fish, and Adam and Eve by 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and was driving a maroon Astro van, police said.

Darlene Hedrick, owner of Victoria's Palace, said the suspect appeared disorganized on the surveillance tape and was scared when the alarm started blaring.

"He didn't have a plan at all," based on his behavior, she said. "He walked out with one handful of merchandise. He dropped a lot. He was scared.

"He was in and out so fast, he got stupid stuff, all novelty little things. I was just glad he didn't get any of my lingerie. That's the expensive stuff."
