LOS ANGELES - The Screaming O has been nominated for "Novelty Manufacturer of the Year" for the 2008 StorErotica Awards, company vice president Keith Caggiano announced today.
Caggiano credits the nomination to their persistent efforts to create a fun and non-threatening image that appeals to everyone, including the novice. He said that the people at The Screaming O believe they help promote the overall adult industry by offering products that are couple- and female-friendly.
"We jokingly call ourselves the gateway product," said Caggiano. "People who are initially threatened by the idea of a 'sex toy' try us first, which encourages them to further explore their options within the industry."
Caggiano admitted that the company as a whole is honored to be considered for the industry award and believes their popularity continues to grow due to some key factors.
"We understand the importance of manufacturing adult products with only the highest quality materials and under the highest standards. We are selective in the products we choose to offer, and we are always looking for a unique angle in which to market them," Caggiano said. "We bring an undeniable element of fun and excitement to everything we do, from marketing products to the look and feel of the packaging, as well as the events we attend.
