AMSTERDAM - In our cover story of the July issue of ANB, we took an in-depth look at the greening of pleasure products and the growing rate of this evolving niche of the novelty industry. Now, Blissbox Toys, the makers of a wooden "eco-friendly" dildo, claim that the product can "help save the planet."
"Each finely crafted Eco-Dildo is totally unique and created by hand from renewable sources, helping you to save the planet," as claimed in press materials for the item. "For over 30,000 years, handmade dildos have been used and enjoyed-now you can enjoy a wholly natural experience too."
The aptly titled Eco-Dildo is made from carefully selected wood that is ground and polished to achieve a silky-smooth texture and is composed of natural and sustainable materials. A protective finish is then applied, and the toy is placed in a handmade fabric pouch.
Blissbox Toys also makes Eco Plugs, handcrafted butt plugs available in three colors, which are manufactured like the dildo. The Eco-Dildo is available in 8-inch and 9 3/4-inch sizes, and comes in four colors (nature, natural, red, and black).
