Terminal Press to Unveil Candy Stripers Comic

LONG BEACH, N.Y. - Candy Stripers, a classic adult film from Arrow Productions, with its naughty nurse fantasy storyline has been re-envisioned and will be released as a new comic book from Terminal Press. It is available now on the Terminal Press website; however it will officially be unveiled at the 2008 San Diego Comic Convention July 24 to 27.

The Candy Stripers comic is said to be a retelling of the original story, drawing on the darker elements. In a Terminal Press press release, the new version is described as "a dark fairytale influenced by the events of the Holocaust and the social psychology experiments conducted by Stanley Milgram."

Although this might not be the first concept one would imagine when updating an iconic adult film, it fits "right into Terminal Press's hard core line of reinterpretations," as written in press materials.

Arrow Production's Robert Interlandi said the story made the production company hesitate when they first heard the concept.

"When the guys at Terminal Press told me their story idea, we were a little concerned," he said. "But once Pistol and I saw the awesome artwork and the story in comic book form, we got it, and we think our fans will too."

Candy Stripers, the comic, is written by Brian Ferrara known for Debbie Does Dallas and Silent Assassin. Garrett Eisenheim, renowned tattoo artist, was brought in to do the art, and the coloring was done by Adam Street who's previous body of work includes Marvel Adventures's Hulk and Spider-Man. Lettering was executed by Narek Gevorgian and separations completed by Joe Frazzetta.

Candy Stripers's unveiling at the 2008 San Diego Comic Con will be on July 24 in booth 1221. The limited edition run will only be available through TerminalPress.com or during various convention appearances.
