Surrey Store Attacker Charged

SURREY, British Columbia – A Surrey resident was charged with attempted murder in the case of a 2004 lingerie store robbery in which the proprietor of the New Westminster establishment was bound, choked, and stabbed.

 

The incident occurred on Feb. 24, 2004, when suspect April Dawn Rogers and a male accomplice entered the Quay Lingerie Store. The assailants then secured the entrance door and took the owner into the back room, where they attacked her. The nefarious pair then escaped in the victim's vehicle.

 

Suspect Rogers has been charged with attempted murder, forcible confinement, robbery, and aggravated assault. The male suspect is currently incarcerated in the United States and he has not yet been formally charged in this investigation.
