BURBANK, Calif.—The ANME Founders Show continues today, its final day, at the Burbank Marriot Hotel, with exhibitors showcasing their newest wares.
One of the newer exhibitors was Impulse Novelties, which debuted the Closet Collection of massagers. Inspired by women’s shoe lines, the Closet Collection offers a variety of styles in bright colors and even some pastel shades.
“We all know how much women like their shoes, and so we wanted to give them something that they would love just as much,” said Tanica Tonnie of Impulse Novelties. “They are designed to attract younger women and more feminine women.”
With names like The Victoria, Lady J’Adore and The Stellah, the Closet Collection boasts 18 SKUs that are immediately available for shipping, with several more items scheduled for release in September.
At the Aneros booth, the Evi is still receiving plenty of love for being the first item for women available from the manufacturer, but company rep Brent Aldon noted it will soon see some inprovements.
“The Evi will soon vibrate thanks to two motors,” he said. “And it will have the ability to be controlled from your cell phone.”
The improvements will take the Evi from a self-maintenance device that helps women strengthen their pelvic floor muscles to a couples item, he said.
OhMiBod made a splash on the show floor with the release of a new line called Lovelife. With seven items in the line, Lovelife is expected to hit retailers shelves sometime in September.
“All of the items will come in under $100 and feature a beautiful pink silicone and ABS with PU Cote,” said Sales Director Pamela Luu.
Items like the Adventure, a triple stimulator, boasts seven vibrations that are not the standard OhMiBod vibrations, she said. In addition to the Adventure, the line includes the Smile, a lay-on vibrator with a heart stimulator attached; the Cuddle, a G-spot massager; and the Flex, a set of heart-shaped Kegel balls.
Evolved Novelties showed off the newest items from the Adam & Eve line, including the Silver Label and Black Label items.
“The Black Label items are really high-end, and offer the quality the Adam & Eve name is known for,” explained Marcus West, director of marketing for Evolved Novelties.
The manufacturer also debuted the new packaging for its own line. While Evolved Novelties kept the signature tins they are known for, the fronts have been cleaned up to better show off the products.
“We lost the Ed Hardy effect and made it very clean, simple and sharp,” West said.
Wicked Sensuals, which has been receiving plenty of mainstream press lately for its vegan line of personal care products, had buyers and attendees lining up to taste the new flavors: Vanilla Bean, Mocha Java and Salted Caramel. The new flavors will be available in September, as will the new Toy Lube.
Sliquid reps were on the showfloor to talk about the company’s new packaging for the Splash and Ride Dude Lube lines.
The Splash line features brighter colors and cleaner, crisper labels, while the Ride line has more color and pops on shelves.
“And we also are introducing the new scent of Mango Passion in the Splash line,” said company rep Michelle Glitter. “It’s replacing the White Tea Pear. But, come on, really … who doesn’t love the smell of mango?”
Sportsheets also some new packaging in the Sex & Mischief line—the S&M portion of the name will be in silver foil so it catches the light and customers’ eyes better—and new items in the collection. Included in the newest releases are the Studded Square Crop, the Studded Mask and the Studded Bow Tie Collar.
“We are seeing studs all through fashion these days,” said Joanne Queenin, executive administrator and marketing assistant. “There are studs on shows, on purses, on jackets … so why not on your sex toys?”
The ANME Founders Show continues through today.
