Stockroom U Schedules New Class

LOS ANGELES—Stockroom University will conduct its next workshop, Body Art: Cell Popping facilitated by Shelly Sin, from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Stockroom/Syren Retail Coutique, 2809½ W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026.

In this hands-on class, participants will cover everything they need to know to get started in the art of cell popping/pin branding. This is a technique where you can create small designs or large intricate ones.

The course will cover the different techniques using teasing needles and cautery pens. It also will cover supplies and safety precautions.

Cell popping is a beautiful art form and using this type of play you can create intricate temporary body art, random pin brands, or permanent brands. It is all in the technique.

There will be a hands-on portion at the end of the class. Everyone will have a chance to experience giving or receiving.

Shelly Sin entered the scene through the women's leather community about 17 years ago and has been active in all factions of the community since. Shelly is currently co-coordinator of LA_RAWW (LARAWW.com), is a voting member of the Los Angeles Leather Coalition and co- produces a community wide event called Xposed. When time permits she participates in the human sexuality classes/panels for local colleges. For the past 10 years she has taught classes on a variety of topics for LA-RAWW, OCLA, Passive Arts, DESIRE, BDSM Mentors, Threshold, JT's Stockroom, Dom Con, Lair De Sade, Xposed and has performed at Kinko De Mayo and The Bondage Balls. This lifestyle equals personal passion for her and she hopes that is what you will take away from this class, a passion for safe, artistic play.

Stockroom University’s Los Angeles Campus is located in the heart of Silver Lake, next door to the Stockroom/Syren retail store. All classes take place on the fourth Thursday of each month unless otherwise noted, and tickets are available on our website or at the door before the show.
