LOS ANGELES—Storytellers and poets with a love for kink and a talent for creative writing can win a kickass B.C. Rich Warlock Guitar autographed by rocker Lita Ford in a contest sponsored by Stockroom.com.
This marks the second time this fall that The Stockroom—a leading manufacturer and retailer of fetish gear—has teamed up with Lita Ford, the heavy metal queen and self-proclaimed erotic adventurer. In September they made music marketing history when the song "Bed" from Wicked Wonderland, Ford’s first album in 15 years, was released exclusively on Stockroom.com. The album, which debuted in early October, is now a top seller across the USA and is available at Amazon.com.
Ford equally showcases impressive guitar chops and lyrical skill on the Wonderland album, which is largely autobiographical. The sexy lyrics—which make frequent references to Lita’s kinky personal life with husband Jim Gillette, who accompanies her on the album—paint an insightful and intimate portrait of an unconventional yet relentlessly passionate marriage.
Ford herself will choose the winner of The Stockroom's "Wicked Wonderland Fantasy Fiction Contest," a creative writing competition that invites Lita fans age 18 and over to share their fantasies about what their own "wicked wonderland" would be like. To qualify, an entry must reference at least one product from the 4,000-plus items available from The Stockroom at Stockroom.com. The product must be referenced by the item's actual title as listed on the website. Only one entry is permitted per person, per household. However, all forms of writing are welcomed—including essays, poetry, and short fiction—so long as they are the contestant's original, previously unpublished work, are written in English, and are no longer than 500 words. The Stockroom begins taking submissions for the Wicked Wonderland Fantasy Fiction Contest on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009. All entries must be received on or before Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009.
The names of winners will be posted on Monday, Dec. 14 on Stockroom.com/contest/ (pen names can be used if preferred. The first-prize winner will receive an autographed Lita Ford Signature Warlock Guitar from B.C. Rich. A metal classic known for its distinctively aggressive silhouette, the Warlock features dual humbucker pickups, a 24-fret maple-wood neck with rosewood fingerboard, and chrome hardware; it is valued at more than $350.
The second-prize winner will receive a Bondage 101 Kit, a high-quality, comprehensive collection of The Stockroom's signature handmade leather gear—perfect for either those wanting to dip a toe into the world of BDSM, or for the discerning kinkster.
