This seminar, hosted by Sportsheets, will look at the consuming psychology inspired by the Fifty Shades trilogy phenomenon, discussing new Fifty Shades-motivated shoppers coming into an adult store for the first time as well as your return customers and how you and your clerks can best interact and service them.

A best-selling author, AASECT certified sexuality educator and entrepreneur, Paget will guide retailers on the mindset of the Fifty Shades consumers - from soccer moms to mature women. Paget will give you insight into why these women are there, why these women have chosen you; what are the questions she won't ask, what she'd like to ask but may not have the awareness to do so, what are the three questions you can ask her, or her partner with the shopping list. Paget will give you numerous tips and techniques so that you can become their go-to trusted outlet because trust is crucial in building a repeat consumer relationship with women.
Megan Andelloux--AASECT certified sexuality educator, certified sexologist, and first-time author--will speak about the college-age demographic consumer. Is the Fifty Shades phenomenon reaching only soccer moms in the suburbs? Nope! How is this demographic being inspired by the Fifty Shades wave as well and to what degree? These college-age students are the next consumer. What are they doing, what are they buying, and how are they shopping.
Pat Jagos, general manager of Arizona-based retail stores Fascinations, will speak about Fifty Shades programs that can help the retailer target this new customer with the products they're looking for and how to up sell them the products they may not know they wanted. Jagos will discuss co-branding, display techniques and how to attract customers using elements both men and women will recognize from Fifty Shades of Grey. He'll give actual retail examples of the merchandising of these products and how to blend the marketing and merchandising of the Sex & Mischief line to target all Fifty Shades customers. Jagos will share how Fascination’s makes sure that each customer comes back for more.
Tom Stewart, founder and CEO of adult manufacturer Sportsheets International, will explain how targeted merchandising has helped their award-winning Sex & Mischief BDSM- and fantasy-inspired collection become the most in-demand line of restraint and role-play accessories in the industry. Stewart will also explain why he thinks that the Fifty Shades phenomenon is going to be more than just a “flash in the pan."
