Sportsheets Offers New Plan-o-Gram Incentives

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - Sportsheets International 's new Plan-o-Gram merchandising program has been growing in popularity since its launch in September 2006. In an effort to help even more retailers benefit from its "dynamic multimedia presentation," the adult novelty manufacturer has announced a new incentive for stores' owners to utilize the program.

According to Sportsheets' press release, the plan-o-gram merchandising program can "easily earn participating retailers a 25-percent spike in their sales of Sportsheets' line of adult novelties". As an added incentive, Sportsheets is offering to reimburse qualifying retailers for the cost of the installation if they don't see a significant increase in the sale of Sportsheets' products from utilizing the program.

"We appreciate that our retail clients are very busy, so we've done almost all of the work for [them]," explained Todd Carter, Sportsheets' director of sales and marketing. "We've laid out the design for [retailers] and we've even already written the order for [them]. All [they] have to do is install the TV and the merchandise according to the schematics we provide then get ready to ring up the additional sales."

The Sportsheets Plan-o-Gram introduces consumers to the Sportsheets brand with a showcase that includes a flat-screen TV, and several best-selling Sportsheets products all in a compact wall space just slightly larger than 4 feet by 6 feet. The plan-o-gram illustrates how and where retail products should be displayed in order to increase purchases.

The flat-screen TV that is included in Sportsheets' Plan-o-Gram allows the retailer to play the Sportsheets Demonstration DVD, a free demonstrational DVD that features seven of Sportsheets' most popular restraint and positionary devices, as well as leather paddles, body ticklers, and blindfolds.

Sportsheets has already beta-tested the program in select retail outlets across the country, earning enthusiastic reviews from participating retailers like Peekay-which owns a chain of more than 30 retail stores. Jennifer Stock, Senior Buyer of Peekay explained that the company has seen a 28-percent increase in sales in the stores utilizing the Sportsheets Plan-o-Gram.

"We have [the plan-o-gram] in a couple of our Orange County stores," said Stock. "When the DVD is playing, people stop and watch [it] for a few minutes then grab stuff. It's a silent salesperson selling the products."

Retailers who purchase the Sportsheets Plan-o-Gram promotional package, which includes more than 20 SKUs with suggested retail prices that range from $10 to $200, qualify for up to $250 in Sportsheets merchandise as a reimbursement for the cost of the television. After installing the plan-o-Gram, a retailer simply sends Sportsheets a photo of the display along with a receipt for the TV, and Sportsheets will provide the retailer with merchandise that matches the dollar value of the television, up to $250.

"Every item that appears on the DVD is included in the plan-o-gram. It's like adding a salesperson to your staff sell our product," Carter summed up. "And we're basically giving you your investment back as soon as you put it up."
