TAMPA, Fla. - Online retailer SpicyGear.com has announced the winners of its Sex Toy Awards, also known as the Kimmy Awards.
The awards were decided based on customer reviews and testing by staff members, according to President and owner Kimberly Fidi.
The winners of the 2008 Kimmy Awards are The Acuvibe (Human Touch Inc.), Decadent Indulgence 3 (California Exotic Novelties), The Ultimate Rabbit (Top Cat Toys), Pocket Rocket G-2 (Doc Johnson), Japan's Pearl Rabbit (Vibratex), iVibe Rabbit (High Joy/Doc Johnson), The Ultimate Orgasm (California Exotic Novelties), Smart Balls (Fun Factory), Laya Spot (Fun Factory) and The Cone (Twisted Products).
An "honorable mention" went to The Sybian, which SpicyGear.com describes as "part mechanical bull and 100 percent horsepower" and the "ultimate sex toy."
Fidi said the list of winners was released in time to offer product recommendations for holiday shoppers, especially those who are new to purchasing adult novelties.
"We've spent months on end searching the world for the best sex toys on the market," she said. "There were many sex toys that are available on the market, but these products have succeeded in achieving superb rating for quality and performance."
Spicy Gear staff members read customer feedback on purchases made throughout the year and selected 25 toys to grade based on criteria such as materials, reliability, features and power. The staff then cut the list down to 10 winners.
Spicy Gear's online announcement gives staff reviews of the winning products.
