Spartacus Saluted by AVN Novelty Business

LAS VEGAS - AVN presented Spartacus Enterprises an "Award of Excellence" last week at the 2008 Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas.

The award congratulated Spartacus on 20 years of success in the adult industry. The Portland, Ore.-based manufacturer and retailer built its reputation on producing high-quality, affordable fetish gear and sex toys. Spartacus introduced a more romantic side of BDSM that made it appealing to couples.

"AVN recognizes Spartacus Enterprises for 20 years of outstanding achievement, innovation and continued excellence in the adult entertainment industry," the inscription on the award reads. "It is this type of dedication that propels our industry forward."

Spartacus President Stephen Bergquist, Vice President Laurie Bergquist, and Sales and Marketing Associates Alice Beckett and Ameena Lacey were on hand at the Spartacus booth to accept the award from AVN Novelty Business Publisher/Editor Tony Lovett and Managing Editor Erica Heathman.

"We're all very honored to receive this award," Beckett said. "AVN's gesture inspires us to keep raising the bar with our products and practices."

"Spartacus is a family-operated success story in the best American tradition," Lovett said. "It's our honor to help them celebrate two decades of pushing the envelope of sexual freedom."
