SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Attitude-based clothing manufacturer Sik World has announced plans to unveil a completely redesigned website in September.
The new site will feature a "classy new look, interface and functionality," said Jaysun Chall, Sik World's founder and president.
"Our old site sucked," he said. "It was slow and a bitch to get around, so we tore it down and built it back up. It's been designed and built, and we're just working out the bugs right now. It should be live by mid-September.
"We've updated the photo gallery with tons of pictures of good-looking girls-some wearing very little clothing-and a bunch of pretty big celebrities who support Sik World."
Chall said the "more interactive, faster and easier-to-use" version of SikWorld.com also will allow users to send Sik World images to cell phones or use them on sites such as MySpace. The site also will give browsers a chance to get involved.
"You can even contribute shirt ideas and vote on other people's ideas," Chall said. "Everyone gets to join in on the fun this time."
He said the company will offer items such as clothing, iPods and TVs for referrals.
As part of the celebration of the website launch, Chall said, one lucky winner will accompany the Sik World crew on a four-day cruise to Cabo San Lucas. Additional prizes will include subscriptions to Revolver magazine, a guitar case from Coffin Case, an ESP guitar autographed by Static X, and autographed CDs and band accessories from record labels such as Century Media, Nuclear Blast, Victory and Trustkill.
