SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Dr. Jennifer Gunsaullus, aka Dr. Jenn, will hold her next "Sexy Women & Wine" workshop from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the W Magnet Bar at 421 W. B St. in San Diego.
The workshop aims to help women be sexual on their own terms and explore their sexuality in a variety of new avenues.
"They gain knowledge about the G-spot, anal play, sensuality and tapping into the personality of their sexuality," Gunsaullus said. "They learn that sexual toys and erotic play are positive things that can enhance their own sensuality and enhance their relationship with a partner. They learn just how luxurious and high-quality their experience of pleasure can be.
"I espouse a holistic and much deeper version of female sexual empowerment that taps into a woman's core sense of self-worth, authenticity and ability to know and trust herself. Confidence, passion, intelligence: Those are sexy, and that's sexual empowerment."
Gunsaullus noted that "female sexual empowerment" is one of her key themes of her workshops.
"Women are pleased when they leave because they realized there was a lot more information about sexual toys and women's health than they realized," she said. "Sometimes, they drag friends along who are kind of uncomfortable with the topic and wouldn't attend otherwise."
Gunsaullus has a Ph.D. in sociology from the State University of New York at Albany, where she researched female sexuality and sexual health.
