BENZONIA, Mich. - Savvy Ideas has released Girlfriends' Intuition, a new board game described by company president C. Fowler as socially interactive entertainment for women who want a fabulous form of group entertainment.
Fowler told AVN Novelty Business Girlfriends' Intuition was designed exclusively for women by women, was introduced to the market in April, and is positioned to be a "hit" based on observations of the enjoyment women have had while playing the game.
"When I was searching for a fun game to play at our next girlfriends' get-together, I couldn't locate games for women on the internet or in stores that were adult content oriented, creative, edgy, and fun to play," she said. "There were card decks that functioned as conversation starters, and there were games based on television shows that required an extensive base of prior knowledge, but there were no games for women that had a creative, saucier edge."
After developing a "stripped down" version of the final game, which is now available, Fowler told ANB she previewed the prototype game for a group of women who responded more than favorably.
"They loved it!" she exclaimed. "Further research resulted in the same reaction: Women absolutely love this game. Realizing the void in the market for female-centric games, we moved forward."
Over the next 18 months, Savvy Ideas worked on development and market research, conducting studies on multiple groups of women before finally introducing the game to the adult novelty market.
"Girlfriends' Intuition is designed specifically for adult women who love to laugh and hang out with their girlfriends," Fowler said. "It's an uproariously entertaining question-and-answer game about having fun. Fowler said the game is both casual and designed for team play, from four to eight players, but that the instructions included with the game explain how it can be used for two or four players as well.
