'Queen of Hearts' Ball Set for Valentine's Day

SAN FRANCISCO - Good Vibrations will hold its "Queen of Hearts" ball at 8 p.m. Feb. 14 at Mighty, located at 119 Utah St. in San Francisco.

Good Vibes' own Dr. Carol Queen will host the soiree, and Peaches Christ, of Midnight Mass and the S.F. Underground Film Festival fame, will be the mistress of ceremonies.

Christ told AVN Novelty Business that ads for the ball have been plastered on MUNI buses and in BART stations throughout the city.

"I was walking down the street the other day and saw myself pass by on a bus," she said. "I was secretly hoping it would drive through a big mud puddle and splash me with wet filth as though I were San Francisco's very own Sarah Jessica Parker.

"Honestly, I'm completely thrilled to be emceeing the ball! I've been working on my look, and because Dr. Carol Queen is playing the role of, well ‘queen', I've decided that I'll be a bit of a nemesis-her wicked queen. I really want to embody the kind of dark, evil, royally wicked bitch I was born to play. I can't wait!"

The erotic fairytale-themed event will include "enchanting entertainment" such as contortion, juggling and trapeze acts performed by members of the Vau de Vire Society, according to Junior Marketing Coordinator Allison Goldstein.

"There will also be merriment made by King Jay Walker and a fabulous fetish fashion show officiated by Madame S," she said. "The awesome Good Vibrations Dancers, featuring Trixxie Carr and Tricksie Treat from Lusty Lady, as well as Sadie Lune, will be getting down to tunes spun by DJ Party Ben of Bootie SF."

Paige White, Madame S's website development/affiliate sales and marketing manager, told ANB that the company is looking forward to participating in the event.

"We have always enjoyed a good working relationship, sending our customers to each other's store when we didn't have something they needed or wanted," she explained. "So we figured, why not join for their ‘Queen of Hearts' ball and provide them with fashions designed right here in San Francisco? We will be bringing in over half a dozen fetish dollies dressed up in ... cute latex fashions showing almost everything but not quite."

Fortunetellers will be on hand in the "Pleasure Faire," Goldstein said, and in the "Dark Gardens" area, Good Vibes will sell toys and custom corsets made to fit every curve.

Costumes are encouraged, and all attendees are required to dress impressively in either erotic or formal wear, the company said.

Tickets are available for $25 at all Bay Area Good Vibrations retail locations and at GoodVibes.com.
