SANTA CLARITA, Calif.—Cocaine Energy Drink is once again available in the United States, and Premiere Sales Group has inked a deal to be the exclusive distributor for the adult and mainstream markets.
The popular energy drink—which boasts a higher caffeine content than rival energy drinks Red Bull and Rockstar—was removed form shelves several years ago because of FDA concerns about labeling, but the drink and label are now in compliance, explained Drew Kennedy of Premiere Sales Group.
“I came across the deal by knowing the right people,” Kennedy told AVN. “I heard they were looking for someone to sell adult stores and I remembered the drink from years ago and figured it would be a great move for premiere with the decrease of DVD sales happening. So I guess with a little bit of luck and knowing the right people it all worked out.”
Premiere Sales Group has inked a deal with the makers of Cocaine Energy Drink to supply the supplement to the adult market nationally, as well as to all convenience stores throughout California.
Premiere Sales Group has been in business for 15 years, and was started by Keith Repult, who has more than 30 years experience in adult. Though the business has primary focused on selling movies—starting with VHS tapes and eventually making the move to DVDs—they do have a bit of history in the novelty side of the business.
“As for novelties, we did open up PSG Novelties,” Kennedy said, but at that time, most people only considered Premiere Sales Group a distribution center for movies, so PSG Novelties closed after two years.
The Cocaine Energy Drink isn’t the company’s only foray into adult stores and boutiques, however.
“We have landed an exclusive distribution deal with Hush Hush selling their black and white Zilla lines,” Kennedy said.
Retailers interested in carrying Cocaine Energy Drink can receive promotional posters with every order, and larger orders can receive discounted pricing, Kennedy said.
