CHATSWORTH, Calif.—The pre-nomination process for the 2011 “O” Awards will officially open Monday, April 11.
The “O” Awards honor outstanding achievements in the pleasure products industry, including design, innovation, marketing, distribution and retailing.
“Now in their third year, the ‘O’ Awards have become a coveted symbol of excellence among manufacturers, distributors and retailers,” said Sherri L. Shaulis, senior editor of pleasure products for AVN. “We are really excited about this year’s ceremony, which has a new category—Outstanding Product Debut—and a new voting process.”
For the first time ever, registered attendees of the AVN Novelty Expo will be able to help choose some of the winners.
To be considered for an “O” Award, products must be released between June 1, 2010, and May 31, 2011. Complete details for the pre-nomination process will be published on AVN.com Monday morning.

Winners of each category will be announced at the third annual “O” Awards on July 8 at the Pasadena Convention Center. The Convention Center is also the site of the 2011 AVN Novelty Expo, which takes places July 7-9.
