Practice Safe Policy Finds Politics Makes Strange Bedfellows

NEW YORK - Practice Safe Policy, which rose to prominence with its Obama, McCain, and Palin condoms this fall, was featured on last night's episode of the Comedy Central program The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Bombastic comedian Lewis Black discussed the political prophylactics during his segment, "Back in Black." After mocking a company hocking collectible porcelain plates to commemorate Obama's presidential victory, he mentioned "something for people who like their Obamabilia a little more personal." He showed a quick clip of a newscaster registering her shocked delight with the condoms, then pointed out that the Obama condom is "so much better than the Joe Biden condom. You put [the Biden condom] over your mouth so you don't ruin your chance to get lucky."

Practice Safe Policy's items have also been featured, among other places, in the Metro and AM New York newspapers and on news channels CNN and Russia Today. Benjamin Sherman, the company's founder, told RT's reporter that since Nov. 4, when Obama won the presidency, he has a new slogan for the condoms: "When you're erect, wear the president-elect."
