CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Pipedream University (PDU) had yet another successful two-day weekend seminar at Pipedream's main campus in Chatsworth, Calif. Designed to give its distribution partners the training and tools they need to effectively merchandise and market its award-winning brands, PDU is building up momentum and enhancing relationships around the country with this one-of-a-kind program.
Over the weekend, Eldorado Trading was the 3rd distribution company to graduate from the two-day course, which was served with healthy portions of business, education, and pleasure. The Eldorado crew was treated to an exciting weekend in which they were given an inside look at Pipedream's shipping, receiving, manufacturing and day-to-day operations.
"I am extremely excited to see the reactions of the Eldorado team. They were very engaging, very receptive to our new program as well as our marketing initiatives," said Pipedream CEO, Nick Orlandino. "It was a great weekend and we're looking forward to more PDU seminars in the future."
"There was great synergy between both companies. We have a fantastic partnership and I'm looking forward to another year of success," added Pipedream Vice President Ruben Deitz.
In Pipedream's traditional style of hospitality, PDU attendees were treated to fun, food, and festivities in beautiful Southern California--between class sessions, of course.
After the two-day event, Account Managers Alex Cage, Stephanie Frey and Jeff Waterstreet and Sales Director Karla Scott of Eldorado Trading shared their excitement.
"It was a well-rounded program with one-on-one, in-depth training that gave us an educational aspect of Pipedream," said Cage. "All the Pipedream team members really knew their products, they were cross-trained and very knowledgeable," says Stephanie. "We didn't have time to see everything in detail at ANME, and PDU gave us a chance to have a close-up look at Pipedream's line of products," says Karla.
"I wish it was longer, like three to four days; everyone is really nice and knows what they're talking about," said Waterstreet, who also deemed the weekend beer supply "more than adequate."
After a full weekend of factory tours, in-depth merchandise training, a get-together at the CEO's residence and a light-hearted graduation ceremony, the Eldorado crew all agreed that PDU was a fun and valuable experience. Upon their return to Colorado, Eldorado's President Larry Garland sent thanks to Pipedream and wrote: "I am proud to have my certificate of Graduation from PDU. I truly believe our two companies are on the same path and share a similar vision about the future. It means a lot to me to be partnered with such a forward-thinking company."
