CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Nominations for the 2011 AVN Awards have been announced and Pipedream Products has received nominations in three categories: Best Fetish Product; Best Party, Game or Gag Product; and Best Sex Toy Company. Pipedream CEO Nick Orlandino says he is excited to receive the nominations after 2010 proved to be such a winning streak for the company.
“Winning the AVN Award would be a perfect way to start 2011,” Orlandino said. “In the last couple of years we have received manufacturer of the year awards from every other major media outlet around the globe, including eroFame, EAN, ETO, Sign, StorErotica, and XBIZ. Winning the 2011 AVN Award would be like the ultimate grand slam.”
In addition to the Best Sex Toy Company nomination, Pipedream received two other product-specific nominations. Its Fetish Fantasy Series Bondage Rope is nominated in the Best Fetish Product Category, while the Lady Gag Gag Love Doll received a nomination in the Best Party, Game or Gag Product category.
“Lady Gag Gag was one of the best products we’ve released and our best-selling love doll of all time,” Orlandino continues. “Due to the overwhelming success of the doll and the mainstream media attention it received, we had to pull the doll from the market due to legal reasons. To have it nominated for an AVN Award is truly an honor.”
