PARK SLOPE, Brooklyn - A small child took a turn into the wrong type of toyland and was caught wandering in Babeland, an upscale sex toy shop in Brooklyn, with an adult toy in hand. The photo was posted on the Brooklyn-based website, Brownstoner.com this morning.
The photo of the young child in Babeland shows that mothers, who live in or visit the town, wish to take their children everywhere they go. Even though the store carries a changing table and holds "Sexy Mama" workshops, the staff adheres to laws restricting minors from entrance.
The store, centralized within the family-friendly neighborhood of Park Slope, has surpassed sales goals since its opening almost three months ago. "We're doubling our sales projections," says Claire Cavanah, one of Babeland's owners to Brownstoner. "We were conservative about how the sales volume would be, but it's almost been effortless."
